Thick Chili with Mashed Potatoes | Most Frequent Meal in my Kitchen

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 pds. ground beef
1 large diced onion
1 large diced green bell pepper
2 tsp. minced garlic
2 Tbsp. tomato paste
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp salt + to taste
1/4 tsp black pepper + to taste
2 Tbsp. chili powder + 2 tsp.
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. smoked paprika
1 1/2 tsp. cumin + 1 tsp.
2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
sprinkle of red pepper flakes
1 Tbsp. sugar

1 – 28oz can diced tomatoes
1 cup beef broth

In a pot of med high heat, brown and chop ground beef. Drain extra fat if needed.
Add onion, bell pepper, salt and black pepper.
Cook and stir 2-3 minutes.

Add minced garlic, tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce. Cook and stir until paste is incorporated.
Add 1st round of spices. Cook and stir 1 minute.

Add diced tomatoes. Stir.
Add beef broth. Stir.
Add kidney beans. Stir.
Bring up to a light simmer, cover and cook 1 hr. stirring every 15 minutes.

Add 2nd round of spices. Cover and cook for 15-20 more minutes.

Serve with mashed potatoes and your favorite toppings.
